Just a quick post to let you know that Verso Books is offering for free, several titles in digital format, including the The Boy Who Could Change the World: The Writings of Aaron Swartz; Revolution in the Age of Social Media: The Egyptian Popular Insurrection and the Internet; Hacker, Hoaxer, Whistleblower, Spy: The Many Faces of Anonymous, and others during today only.
Verso ebooks do not have DRM, but they’re watermarked (which is still not good, but you can read them anywhere, at least).
I first came across Verso because of Moretti’s Distant Reading and Graphs, Maps, Trees (#digitalhumanities).
If you register with Verso, they’re are also offering a 50% discount on the next purchase.
